Things to Do
The beach at Playas del Coco is large and family-friendly. The waves are small and warm, making it an ideal spot for swimming and kids who want to play in the shallows. On some of the bigger wave days, it’ll be full of skimboards. Just offshore is a great place for fishing, and the water is usually dotted with boats, many of which have been chartered from Pacifico's Boat Club. There are also catamaran tours that travel up the Guanacaste coastline.
There are a number of hiking and biking trails accessible from the town. There’s a long, challenging trail that leads through the mountains to a stunning view of the ocean. Pacifico residents who prefer their activities closer to home can craft their perfect day at the community’s sports complex, with tennis courts and fitness facilities, or the pool and bar at the beach club.
Schools
For families, there are several excellent schools nestled along the coast to consider. For some towns, they are just moments away. However, even in the more secluded beach towns, a stellar school is no more than half an hour’s drive.
