For a spectacular night out, Sentido Norte is the iconic restaurant of Las Catalinas. CNN named it one of the world’s most romantic restaurants. It has killer sunsets, and every bite diners take is a celebration of Costa Rican flavors and culture.

Las Catalinas is surrounded by an expanse of protected forest. There are biking and hiking paths that wind through and offer many beautiful hilltop vistas and hidden pockets. Casa Chameleon is the hub for many of the area’s adventures. They offer horseback riding, catamaran tours, and deep-sea fishing. They also have a Diria Coffee Tour that takes you to more rural parts of Costa Rica to experience some of the best coffee in the world right where it’s grown.

For families, there are several prime schools nestled along the coast to consider. For some towns, they are just moments away. However, even in the more secluded beach towns, a stellar school is no more than half an hour’s drive.
